Askina® Carbosorb

Description

Askina® Carbosorb is a sterile wound dressing, used to contain odour produced by all types of malodorous wounds
 

Indications

Askina® Carbosorb may be used for the management of low to heavily exuding, partial to full thickness wounds, in particular when infection and / or offensive odour is present.
 

Odour Control

Askina® Carbosorb absorbs wound bacteria and malodorous substances which is absorbed by the charcoal cloth

How to use

Cut to size
Select the appropriate Askina® Carbosorb size that will completely cover the wound surface, ensuring a 2 – 3cm margin beyond the wound. Askina® Carbosorb can be cut to size, unlike some other charcoal dressing. It is also thin and flexible so it can be used in conjunction with multi layer bandaging.
 
Primary dressing
To use as a primary dressing apply thicker white side to the wound, secure with either tape or secondary dressing
 
Secondary dressing
Askina® Carbosorb can also be used as a secondary dressing
